1. Floor Placement: Lay the mat flat on the floor in your cat's favorite lounging spot or near areas where they tend to scratch furniture.

2. Hanging Placement: Use the attached loop at the top to hang the mat securely on a wall hook or doorknob for cats that prefer upright, vertical stretching and scratching.
